This two point perspective is cut in relief from a larger slab. The brass inlay highlights the working lines for the perspective.
Looking for inspiration I returned to my background in architecture, and started a series derived from two point perspective.
This diptych uses the same set of carving lines. On the left the taper is lifted to meet the cutting path. On the right the taper falls away from the cutting path.
Placing the wood at an angle to the cutter and not cleaning up the edges to try a different approach.
