The New War

Users play war games on the internet, striking at “enemy targets”. Each target corresponds to a work in the physical gallery space, which the gets aimed at by the laser. In this work I attempted to confront recent political events. As we engage in what has been hailed as “America’s New War”, death becomes more and more of a video game. For every enemy target destroyed, however, there are real physical consequences for real people somewhere.
